Announcement and more…

Alright are you ready for my big announcement? Here it is…I just saved a lot of money on my car insurance! Ok, just kidding…actually I’m extremely pleased to announce that Aaron Schwindt will be back at United to lead us in worship on Dec. 2nd. Some of you may remember Aaron from this past summer when he did a week of worship for us. The buzz afterwards was incredible as people experienced for the first time what it’s like to have a worship leader leading us on Sunday mornings. You do not want to miss Dec. 2nd…it’s going to be incredible.

Other thoughts here on a Tuesday afternoon:

• Just got back from lunch with our Youth Pastor, Gene Reineman…who himself just got back from Atlanta where he was attending a youth workers conference.  Gene is a great guy and has great things planned for our youth.  I always feel bad for youth guys, because it takes them awhile to be accepted by the kids…after all, there’s no one smarter than a 13 year old right?  In any case, Gene has adapted well in the year that he’s been here and I think 2008 is going to be incredible for out youth.  Check out more youth stuff here.
• I’m excited about rolling out some new small groups in early 2008.  We are doing some preliminary work now behind the scenes getting things ready, and it’s been incredible to see God working to bring together the perfect team to lead this initiative.
• I can hear Matt Shear out in the hallway talking right now.  Matt is an awesome guy and orchestrated the entire move from one building to another.  If you haven’t thanked Matt yet, make sure you do so soon.
• We had a hit on the site the other day from Slovakia.  Yesterday the furthest was Las Vegas.  We also have quite a following in Tennessee.  If you’re reading this and you’re from outside the PA area, let us know who you are via the comments section so we can get to know you.
• I can’t wait for this week’s message…some of you are going to have your finances forever changed for the better!
