Part of the reason that I’ve been so busy is that I’ve been cramming a lot of stuff into fewer days so that I can head down to DC this afternoon to spend some time with Mark Batterson of National Community Church.
Mark is a great guy and I always enjoy the time I get to spend with him…he’s a wealth of knowledge and he helps me to see our future better.
I’m really pumped up about our new series called IMPACT which begins this week. If you’ve ever thought that you’re life doesn’t matter, make sure you’re here for this one.
Man the weather has been awesome the last few days…wish everyday was that way.
Small group Tuesday night was great. We ate a huge meal together and then discussed how each of us handles stress. Because our group does so much work together we already knew each other’s stress mechanisms and it allowed us to get honest with one another about what we see in each other.
Last night the CAYA crew was at the house and we used it as an opportunity to do some video shooting for up-coming CAYA events…it’s just too funny to watch people on camera who aren’t used to it.
I’m sort of bummed…after a good start to the season the O’s are now in the midst of a long losing streak….oh well there’s always next year…of course that’s what Cub fans have been telling themselves for over 100 years now.
We got one of those new resident bags in the mail the other day and as I looked through the book that comes with it, I was surprised to see a full color ad for CFCOG. I had forgotten that one of our members was kind enough to provide it for us and that Lisa had designed a really nice (seriously it’s by far the best ad in the book) full color-full page ad. Thanks Daria for thinking of us!
