The conference wrapped up today at noon. Last night I was able to share the vision with hundreds of pastors for what ExponentialChurch.tv is going to be about and as it turns out, many others were watching me live online. It was cool afterward getting texts, facebook and e-mails from people saying they had watched it live on their computers.
We left the conference and had a nice drive up to the Chicago area. We are staying in Naperville and tonight we went to their RiverWalk which you see a part of in the picture that goes with this post. It is 4 miles of very nice trails along the river and other areas. There are parks, pavilions, shops, restaurants, monuments, etc. all along it. We had a nice meal and then took a walk around part of it. It reminded me a lot of the RiverWalk in San Antonio, TX. The cool part about this one is the story behind it. Apparently this part of town used to be really bad. Back in the 80’s two business men had a vision of a community service project where the citizens would clean up the area laying brick by brick and planting tree by tree. Now 20+ years later it’s beautiful and an awesome area to hang-out in.
Tomorrow we’ll hang-out in the morning then head over to Community Christian Church for a meeting and then worship service. As soon as that’s done we’ll be back on the road for another 3+ hour drive…this time to South Bend, Indiana.
