Had a very relaxing vacation and was looking forward to finishing it out.
However last night I found out that something was causing the projectors and lights to go crazy.
With the bad storms yesterday and the fact the power went out in the building…I was hoping it’d be an easy fix.
Couldn’t get it figured out…Andy is on vacation as well, so I was hoping things would be resolved this morning because my guess is that some of it had to do with the electric company.
Chris called this morning and it still wasn’t working…despite the fact I didn’t want to, I came in any way to start making decisions on how to proceed.
We did get the lights fixed but the projectors are still not sending a good enough signal for things to be seen clearly.
Finally decided to go with lyric sheets and full lighting.
I talked to Chris this afternoon and he said it just wasn’t the same.
However, I know everyone did their best through a bad situation so I’m proud of everyone for adapting.
We’ve got to get this figured out this week because it’s going to be really hard to do a movie series without projection.
I had met with their pastor Doug Coldsmith a month or 2 ago and he’s a great guy.
They had about 40 people this morning in attendance and it reminded me a lot of when we first got started.
I think they’ll grow quick like we did and together with all of the other wonderful churches in our area, we’ll make an eternal impact in Franklin County and beyond.
This afternoon I’m going to listen to Earl’s message as I watch the race and then this evening we’ll get together with some friends of ours to officially close out our vacation.
Don’t forget next week starts the new Experience times…9:15am & 10:45am.
We’ll be starting the God at the Box Office series with “The Incredible Hulk.” Don’t forget to invite someone!
